Mischief Management

One company, several fandoms. Each convention brand needed to sound like it belonged to its own audience.

What I ran

Mischief Management operated fan conventions as separate brands, including Con of Thrones, LeakyCon, and BroadwayCon, plus a podcast network. I handled campaign execution across the events.

The posts below are mine: I wrote the copy and made the creative.

Con of Thrones

For Game of Thrones fans, especially around the final season.

Con of Thrones tweet, May 16, 2019: "Guaranteed to get you out of all obligations during this difficult time. *Not actually guaranteed." The image is a Con of Thrones excuse note: please excuse ___ from school or work Monday, May 20, because the finale of Game of Thrones just aired and they require time to properly mourn.

LeakyCon and BroadwayCon

Different fandoms, different jokes.

LeakyCon tweet, Jul 13, 2020: "The Houses as cakes: Gryffindor: Red Velvet. Slytherin: Raspberry Spice. Rave" followed by a long run of cake emoji and "oh no this tweet is actually a cake"

BroadwayCon tweet, Jul 3, 2020: "Hi! I'm the social media manager for #BroadwayCon and I am going to watch #Hamilfilm three times today and that counts as work. I love it. Pressing play now..." with a WORK GIF from Hamilton

Beyond the convention accounts

I led the launch of the Mischief Media podcast network and the Mischief Merch rebrand.

When COVID hit, I pitched a merch store. I worked closely with our designer on the apparel, built the store in Shopify, and started the brand’s Instagram. That work is separate from the social posts above.

Why this one's mine

This experience sits at the intersection I want to keep working in: fandom, conversations, and creative work that gives people a reason to participate.

Bring me into the conversation.

I’m pursuing brand and content strategy work in entertainment and fandom.
